How to download a video from X (Twitter)

    Copy the post link

    Open the post that contains the video, tap the Share icon and choose Copy link. Links from x.com and from twitter.com both work.

Limits and tips

  • Posts from protected (private) accounts cannot be downloaded, and a post without a video has nothing to save.
  • Copy the link of the post itself: the address of a profile, a timeline or a search page does not point to a video.
  • To keep the service working for everyone, each platform has a fair-use limit per IP address. If you save a lot of videos in a short time, wait a little before the next one.
  • On iPhone, Safari saves the file to Files > Downloads. On Android and on computers it goes to your browser's Downloads folder.
  • Only download videos you made yourself or have permission to keep, and respect the rights of the person who posted them.

Do twitter.com links still work?

Yes. Vidizza accepts post links from both x.com and twitter.com, so old links saved before the rename work too.

Do I need an X account?

No. Paste the post link; you do not have to sign in to X or create a Vidizza account.

Can I save only the audio of an X video?

Yes. After the preview appears, choose Download Audio Only to save the sound as an MP3 file.

What quality are X videos saved in?

Vidizza saves the highest-quality version of the video that X provides for the post, as an MP4 file, and keeps its original resolution.

Why can’t I download a video from X?

The post may come from a protected account, it may have been deleted, or it may not contain a video. Copy the link again from the Share menu and make sure the post is public.
